If only this wasn’t a rebranding experiment because I think paint cans could use a design overhaul. Considering how big the DIY and home decorating market has become, a distinctive design like this could help corner a portion of the market.
My favorite points:
The cans are have a matte or gloss finish depending upon the paint inside.
Using different crops of the logo, each paint or sub brand has it’s own individual look but are all quite clearly part of a bigger brand family.
Cubes reduce storage space and transport, and as a result reduce the environmental impact. Combining a paint return/disposal program with the ability to recycle the plastic cans as well would make this even more environmentally friendly.

These typographic cards are so much fun. It’s fascinating to see how many ways you can combine the letter ‘A’ (lower left pic) to create the four suites. If I had a weekly poker game, these would definitely make an appearance.

Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like there’s the potential for some form of drinking game embedded in this design somewhere. I’ll have to go poll some recent graphic arts graduates. I’m sure they can come up with something for me.

SUV’s should NOT be convertibles, especially in the Northwest! So silly looking. (Taken with Instagram at Prost!)

Finally someone designed a packaging tab that I can actually hold onto. I can’t wait to see some products on the grocery store shelves using it. In particular, cans of nuts with those annoying little aluminum tabs that never pull free. Also, coffee cans. Really any product targeting an older market would be a good fit.

Great print piece combining a pocket folder with map insert, travel guide brochure and pencil closure. I’m always collecting pens in my purse so my favorite part is honestly the pencil attached to the closure elastic. It keeps everything together in one package and the large elastic makes it impossible for me to lose in the bottom of my purse.

Am I the only one who thought “Woohoo pre-made woodblock prints!”?
I really think I could have way too much fun with a couple cans of ink, a roller and maybe a table cloth….making plans for the weekend.
What would you do?
